August’s Parade of the Dead
August 2009 has been a hell of month for the dead. May they all rest in the states and respective places they have coming. Foremost among them all was my mother and then Teddy Kennedy. Two tireless fighters for civil rights back in the 1960’s. While Kennedy fought in the Senate, my mother fought in the streets. She and her groups, using passive resistance, opened lunch counters and restaurants all over the state in which she lived. They are all to be remembered!
